Argirita is the radio-phonograph version of the Kastalia model.
The chassis is the same of the
Kastalia model, it’s an eight tubes
superheterodyne set and it can receive the medium waves only.
The low frequency stage is unusual designed, it works with two 47 type
pentode connected in parallel.
The
turntable, which works only 78 laps, has the pick-up with the
interchangeable pin system, like a gramophone. Arm and platen are
manufactured by Radiomarelli, the
electric motor is branded Magneti Marelli.
The upper knob is for the tuning, moreover by carrying the pointer to the
right limit side of the dial, you will set the radio to work in
“phonograph mode”. The left knob operates the power switch /
volume control, the right one operates a two positions rotating
switch for the tone control.
In the Kastalia model, the tone control works with a potentiometer.
This radio was entirely
manufactured by Radiomarelli factories in Milan.
