Kastalia, with its superb decorations and its superlative quality design is one of the most luxurious radio of this age.

It’s an eight tube first generation superheterodyne set working in medium waves only.

At this age didn’t exist multi-grid tube yet, for this reason the RF converter stage works with two separate tubes: a 27 type triode as oscillator and a 51 type pentode as mixer.

The Low frequency stage is designed in unusual mode, it works with two 47 type pentode tubes connected in parallel.

The upper knob is for the tuning, moreover by carrying the pointer to the right limit side of the dial, you will set the radio to work in “phonograph mode”. The left knob operates the power switch / volume control, the right one operates the tone control potentiometer.

Kastalia was designed and manufactured entirely by Radiomarelli factories in Milan.
